    February 3 Rehearsal
    Everyone
    1. Really great job last night.
    2.      STEP ON LINES.
    3.      MEMORIZE YOUR PARTS. When one person doesn’t know his/her part, it affects everyone and the performance.
    4.      React to lines.
    5.      Be intrigued into what is going on.
    6.      React to Ratcheds "shut up" line.
    7.      More reaction to Mac choking Ratched.
    8.      Slow motion needs lots of work.
    9.      Quiet backstage
    10.  We need someone turn on radio & turn it off during party scene.
    11.  More people noises EVERYWHERE.
    12.  Silence
    13.  Transitions are rough.
    14.  Say names more throughout the show, especially at the beginning – thanks Issac
    15.  More cheering when Mac tries to pick  up the machine. Need people noises.  Move chairs.
    16.  Knock things out of the way when we need to have a clear view of props on stage.  You must be constantly thinking.
    17.  LOOK at SCRIPT  PLEASE  You have never not known the lines for a clinic. Clinic is next Wednesday -
    18.  Taunt Harding and Billy more about the attacks by Ratched.
    19.  CHEAT OUT – Three judges and they ALL must hear and understand you.
    20.  Take turns wearing hats
    21.  Group meetings – people noises before and after.
    22.  Watch smokers and carry an ash tray with you if you are moving and smoking. Share with others.
    23.  Do not say words that are not in the script.
    24.  People noises when Mac cuts through people to show Spivey info.
    25.  Part the sea when Ratched confronts Mac during the television scene.
    26.  Discipline has improved – People noises.
    27.  Chicken scene – LEVELS needed.
    28.  Whenever you are gambling with Mac, patients need to bet with cigarettes or IOU’s written. Pencils are on medical cart.
    29.  After 2nd dance, chat and laugh coming in.
    30.  Put chairs where needed.
    31.  TV scene – face audience.
    32.  People noises
    33.  Look at instruction for Candy’s first entrance. Candy looks around… spots a chair. Sits.  Everyone is awkward  looking at everything but her.Billy smiles shyly.  Harding gets up, gets her chair. Stands whenever she does.
    34.  People noises when Candy leaves.
    35.  Lots of wasted time.
    36.  Move therapy sessions more right center stage.
    37.  EVERYONE is surprised and SHOCKED when they find out Mac and Bromden are tricksters.
    38.  Laughter and more fun in party scene. PEOPLE NOISES
    Nolan and Austin
    - good but don't drop your line(old broom bromden)/bring Mac out on time.  Be focused so that everything will go smoothly.  We depend on you to be involved with stage business and clear the stage or set the stage when needed during the play.
Move the broom when Bromden is being shaved.  This procedure is meant to humiliate him and remind him he is ½ white.
Talk to Ratched and gesture angrily after first encounter with Mac.
    Sydney
Work on being more mature.  Think being heavy in stature. Having more presence.  Think Hillary Clinton, Meryl Streep in some roles.  Louder – hit consonants. New admission needs to be louder.
    Cut I’ll take that
Use log book when in group therapy.
    IF that’s settled.
    Work to do
    One more vote.
    Excellent choking scene.
    Scanlon
    Billy Baby etc Hit consonants.
    I ain’t upset.
    I don’t know Mac
I guess they wont’ bomb us
    vote
    Maxine and Savannah
More talking and giggling with each other.  It is cold outside.  There are guards walking the perimeter.
    Paige
    Watch screechiness
    Bromden
The shaving procedure is meant to humiliate him and remind him he is ½ white.
    Chronics
Must pay attention to what is going on so that you will be ready to act when needed.
    Brooke
Blue light instead of green during Bromden’s scenes.
    Music
Music was too soon before the First group meeting.
Take most of furniture out during party scene.
    Mac
    Finger marks – laugh more
    DICTION
I got something to take up
    Attaboy
    townwoman
    Spivey
    Check on cut lines.
Interrupt Ratched on her other form of therapy line.
Must move earlier after fight.  Go and talk to Ratched.
    Harding
Begin moving your leg – slowly, then erratically when you are about to break down.  I hate her needs to be venomous.
After Ratched is strangled, help Martini out from under table.

  1. We definately need to make more people noises, it's an asylum and it wouldn't just be silent

  2. The only way we can all improve is if we put in effort in and OUT of practice. (learning lines)

  3. Maxine and I need to get our props by Wednesday whatever we are suppose to be carrying in the party scene otherwise our lines don't make sense

  4. What we need is to learn our lines so that we can get it timed right

  5. One thing we really need to work on is when our group starts parting from nurse ratchets control to the courage McMurphy brings us. Each character has to decide when their character changes and have a motive why they change. This can be a really good play but only if we express the mood changes that take place within it.

  6. Pregnant pauses occurred a lot at practice the other night. We could also work on blocking.

  7. We need to work on stepping on people's lines. This will help with the fluidity of tghe play as well as taking off some time.

  8. I agree with sid. Also we need to see the emotion everyone goes through.

  9. We need a ton of people noises, make sure you don't have happy feet, when moving the furniture you need to be quite and the audience shouldn't even realize you moved it, timing on both dances where off, there is a awkward silence in between a couple of scenes even though your in character you need to make them stand out to the point there is no guessing that you have a mental illness( however not to the point it looks like you are unrealistic ), everyone needs a different walk, pregnant pauses, react to new people in the ward, the fight scene looks fake from where I was sitting, don't touch curtains, when you move have a purpose don't just move because we told you to, step on lines, crowded stage, Sydney when your holding the puppet control bars hold them from the center of the +, character triggers make sure you have one, we need to work on the fight scene and Candys first entrance. We have a lot of work to do, and there are still other things that need to be fixed. Let's use our next few practices to knock the clinic out of the park! I know we have only been practicing for a little over a month, but that is not an excuse for doing horrible at the clinic.

  10. we have a clinic in less than one week with Frida, and we need all hands on board to learn our lines, make a show that Frida can critic and not dissapoint her. We have a reputation of being ahead of other schools at the first clinic and we don't want to let that tradition down. -Paige Williams

  12. Hey I think it would be a great idea if you all look at this blog(http://itzadoozie.blogspot.com/). She has one blog in particular I want you to look at and the title is "As if...." Their are a ton of amazing post, but this is one that I feel we should all read. It gave me inspiration the first time I read it, and I hope it will do the same for you. If anything, it should be our moto for the year and for the rest of our lives.

  13. As a whole we need to all stay in character during every practice, to get things done and improve the play. We need to step on each other's lines, to speed up the performance and also make it mesh together better, know your characters emotions. So many things happen in the play you can't have the same emotion throughout the play.

  14. we cant break chacter int he middles of the play. learn to have your own personality. walk different, talk different then each other.

  15. Although it feels like we are a mile away from where we want to be, I think we are closer than that. What we need is to do all the small tweaks that have been suggested, and boom, we have a good show to show Frieda. However, if we don't fix them, the show she will see will be a broken and rough play, certainly not up to her standards.

  16. i feel like I need to work on a certain twitch for my charecter because I feel like I do something different everytime which y'all might like better anyways but if I only had one certain one I feel like it would portray my state of mind better
