Everyone
|
Be conscious of levels
Don’t speak upstage.
Step on lines
People noises
REACT
At the first therapy session, sit in assigned seats.
The second, two exchange seats.
Third, everyone change places.
Do not put straitjacket on Brody in front of the audience. He would be thrashing around prior, not standing quietly or there is no reason to put it on him.
Do not talk backstage. It is distracting to actors and audience.
Do not break character.
This is from Alyssa and Michelle – You are going to see Freida – do not disappoint her. She talks about Shallowater to all the other schools she sees.
|
Austin
|
Watch moving in the back of the group scene – it is a distraction to the focus of the scene. You had a good scene when you pointed out Bromden to Ratched.
Don’t point flashlight toward Ty and Jared.
|
Tucker
|
Walk with more confidence
Be bigger and more like a doctor.
|
Graham
|
Face the audience more
Stop hallucinating – say it differently.
|
Paige and Sydney
|
Be more natural climbing stairs –up and down
|
Jared
|
Slow down and enunciate more – saw some good stuff last night.
|
Syd
|
Lower register – your voice is good most of the time – I think it is when you are uncertain of lines – great eyes
When not in the scene, be busy at your work. Glance at them at times. At times, tell the aides or Paige to be more wary.
Watch being monotone.
We have to keep the puppet master imagery throughout the play through your character. We have to see you control the men. React more – especially when you are verbally attacking men.

One thing we need to work on is staying crazy the entire time. Don't break character and stay crazy. We also need to work on order of scenes and need to work towards space on stage so we don't block one another
ReplyDeleteWe need to work on transitions because it seems like you don 't know when to enter, exit, or move
ReplyDeleteI think we need to work on all being different. It seems like everyone is acting like the same person at times.

ReplyDeleteHere is the fight scene we worked with on Friday. I believe it is so much better than it used to be. Now we need to work on our second fight scene being that good.
we need to work on being more loose on the first dance, Nolan and Austin need to me meaner towards Bromden at the beginning of the play, walk in character on all the enterences, Martini needs to maintain his smile, we need more figiting/handmovements during the group meetings, work on 2nd dance (move together), people noises, there were a lot of awkward pauses, Paige is being blocked during the group session in scene 3, raise up you're hands differently when y'all are voting, be carful on levels, boy's need to be more excited when Candy comes in for the 1st time, boy's need to be more cautious when they are coming in for the party, more groans when Billy kills himself
ReplyDeleteWe need to be our own character, be different from your other friends on stage. Nobody is the same. We all need to have facial expressions make the audience know that you are upset, excited. Working on the scene transitions may be something we need to do, it takes entirely too long to come in and out over and over. And fixing this can make the transition better and take a whole lot of time off
ReplyDeleteright now, we need to work on is Lines and Transitions.
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd dance scene was so much better today after we worked on it, and now let's work on the 1st one. If you are bing blocked move, but make sure it looks like you have a reason and purpose to move besides being blocked. Let's work hard tomorrow night and get things done, so that we are prepared for our clinic.
ReplyDeleteDuring the fight scene, it looks to choreographed, make sure as you are all acting crazy, you actually act crazy, and not just randomly throwing objects across the stage! It's looks bizarre if you are all just purposefully throwing thigs down, you should be doing it more out of panic than just doing it to do it
ReplyDeleteeverybody needs to react to every little thing that goes on but not only that I think we all need to react differently from one another
