Really great rehearsal!
Thanks!
Use cigarettes to bet with.
Chair dance – hit chairs at the same time.
Move chairs out of the way for the gum scene –
PEOPLE NOISES – you should be experts at this.
React to Mac’s first entrance – especially when you hear all the
noise. One of you might go to the doorway and look
If you have read this far, go to the office to pick up something special, and tell whoever is in the office - "I'm crazy!"
STEP ON LINES

Come in faster at the beginning and in the dark..Laugh
Ugly looks directed at Mac
Take hands out of pockets
When standing, spread legs far apart – makes you look more
confident.
I will get one of you a billy club.
Need one of the guards on the ladder at different times with a pad to
write things.
Keep wheelchair left stage.
Excellent job with your entrance. You set the tone for the play.
Need more people left stage when Billy is breaking down.

Be quiet – louder
Add “wife” to ample bosom line instead of pronoun.
Excellent – facial expressions.
When you are in front of the TV, turn around and look at it to make
sure it is off and let the audience see your face.
When you get up, act hurt,
CRY, YELL BE A BABY!
We will fix your dress. Maybe
put more blood on dress. It is very
dull.

As we continue to progress with the show we all are becoming our own people. This is one thing that will set us apart from the other schools and it is great we are doing this so early in the season. But with this to make our characters real we need to identify thier flaws also so we are not flat. If we can acompish this we will take our show to the next level. -Paige
ReplyDeleteWe really need to work on the two dances; they must be perfect. Everyone needs to be completely in sync, especially to show Ratched's power. I feel as though if our dances are not truly awe-inspirning that the judges will eat us alive about them. This means that you can't all follow my movements, because you will all be a beat or so behind me. All of you must learn the timing for yourselves.

ReplyDeletegreat job on our clinic but things still can be cleaned up. everyone is doing great on working on being thier own character. we stil need to upgrade on our line coming naturally and react like we would in real life. the dance stiil need to be together on the same point. bigger movemets but keep sharp and together, if one is off beat then all of yall are off beat. it can be done perfect with perfect practice.
ReplyDeleteAll the actors are getting their lines for the most part, but all the words are scrambled and y'all are adding alot of words.
ReplyDeleteReagon when you count off to start the show don't do it so loud, because we want the start to kinda be a surprise for the judges. The music when McMurphy says to turn the music off need to be fixed to make the words. Other than that and fading out great job with sound. The lights where good as well. Way to go crew!
ReplyDeleteNolan and Austin watch bolcking. When your walking you bloke each other from the judge.
ReplyDeleteI wondered if we were blocking each other. Thank you for pointing it out. The crew and understudies are doing a great job making this show possible.
DeleteI think it would be better to have a bush out side of the window blocking the light instead of a trash can. Ty when you say thank you it should be harder to say and maybe cough some to make it seem like your struggling to speak. Raise you hand differently when voting. Graham when you say the "lazy circles" line I think it would be funny to make some kind of flying motion.
ReplyDeleteI do think that mcmurphy loves life and is happy the majority of the time, but I think he needs to live up to the notion of his outbreaks of passion because it's obvious he has a short temper
ReplyDeleteWhen Mac first arrives I need to show that I have more authority, and that it's very unattainable.
