Turn the bench down in the first scene
More reaction to mcmurphys description of a pecking party. You are all guilty
Good job with the red
Great television scene
Don't make curtains or pylons move ever!
Heard talking backstage after 2nd fight scene
Mcmurphy needs to be more right stage on gurney
Look at the deaf line when Mac first enters.
Lighting cigs for patients was great!
Zap – don’t jump – it’s looking too staged.
Start music earlier & louder so they guys can hear it
Lights were not coordinated with music on second dance.
First fight scene – group must move more CS because there was not
enough space to fight.
Two of you broke the fourth wall and looked into the audience. This is an automatic last place.
More guttural people noises in fight scene.

Lights and music
Lights and music were not coordinated on second dance
Technical people
With the exception of two glitches. The lights and sound were
perfect.
Williams
Good job looking mean, but you can be meaner.
Talk to Ratched every chance you can.
Look meaner at the men. You
are the rule follower.
We need to work on fight scene.
Look mean all the time. Give men dirty looks.
Aides
Keep laughing until you are two feet past curtain line.
Ratched
medication is too mean
needs more variance not just yelling. Needs to be a complicated
character Blood on Sydney's sleeve
We have to have you move more CS with the breaking all the rules
lines. Chief does not have space to move.
I loved the different way you said lines today – you were scary. Sweet with the underlying bitter
undercurrent.
Ruckly
whack em all must be crazy
Several audience people loved the way you moved around left
stage. They said you were the best Ruckly
they had seen. You didn’t try to have
the focus on yourself, but were subtly crazy.
Billy
do not touch the pylons and make them shake
run around the ramp and 4 x8, u ran through the wall
Loved the way your character gradually went over the top – it was a
progression.
Music
faster after breaking every single one of them
Men
Meaner to billy in therapy scene
Came out too soon for 2nd dance
Standing in straight line after candy leaves. There were no levels
At times there was no people noises.
REACT to everything.
Spivey
Great job. It was funny seeing you cowed by the nurse.
Don’t try to hug her. It didn’t
work.
Medical personnel
Spivey and Ratched need to converse after meeting in the back. We need to see her bully him and Spivey
wiping forehead, etc.
We need to see the alliance between Williams and Ratched.
Martini & Billy
you need to take off red before u don’t vote with mcmurphy
Martini
Great job smiling – you were great at detecting levels and placement
on stage.
Chief
more emotion when u say my poppa was bigger
Diction
The last lines need a little work.
You did exactly what we asked, but it’s not working. More guttural and louder with next to last
line. More triumphant with last
line. Let’s work on that tomorrow.
You brought more emotion to your character. Thanks.

Chief and Williams
We need to work on your first fight scene.
Scanlon
Loved your craziness. You were
different from the others. Keep it up!
Great job.
Say the billy baby like a woman would.
Mac
Great job today. You were
personable, charismatic
Sure thing was better.
Be flirtier with your first encounter with Ratched.
Cheswick
Good job being crazy – you were consistent.
But, find another way to be on the floor – we need to see your face.
Loved your chasing Sandra.
Stage lights
Red light on electroshock scene
Mac
frozen in wheelchair on back when they're wheeling u in
Look crazier – eyes rolled up, tongue sticking out stop moving sooner
when he suffocates you
Warren
Loved the dirty old man you became with Candy in the room.
Martini
start with toilet paper later, too soon
Harding
too staged in party scene, must look spontaneous
we need to get the hair out of your face – made you look too young.
I loved your looks when Sandra came around you. Don’t put the potty on your head, though,
think what that would do to an ocd person like Harding.
Candy
Good reaction to tramp
The audience LOVED your expressions, especially the tramp. Be as big when you first see the crazy
guys in your first entrance. Do more
vocals.
Sandra
Great timing in your entrance.
Easy girls
Put a bottle in the trash before coming in.
Loved your entrance – you drew the audience’s attention.
Flinn
Great job! You didn’t overdo
it but seemed compassionate.
To do
Bungee cords need to be painted
Dead roses
Vodka bottle
Scankin, Cheswick, and Tucker need more makeup, Work on the 2nd dance, The Card tattoo on Mac was awesome, more energy dwhen Mac is trying to pick up the electric supplies, Paige was breathing too heavy when Billy cuts himself, more people noises, awesome slo-mo, and the last scene today with Ratched and Mac was really REALLY good! Almost there you guys!
ReplyDeleteWe might need to somehow tape the Nurses Station sign down with some clear tape because it catches on the window and Paige and I couldn't shut it without it being a distraction.
ReplyDeleteI need to work on being more confident in my lines and focus on the delivery. I tried the hug because that is about the only thing I remember them critiquing Tucker on.
ReplyDeleteRemember the final scene is what we are leaving the audience and more importantly the judges with, so it has to be strong! Make sure that the box looks really heavy and not just "acting" like it's heavy!
ReplyDeleteTucker and i still need to work on the fight scenes and other parts to sharpen up on it. Im excited to perform and do our best. If we bring our best, step on lines, and have tons of energy we have a great chance of winning district!
ReplyDeleteY'all need to have a ton of energy and step on lines and have absolutely NO awkward moments or pauses.
ReplyDeletealmost contest, we need to step up our game but have funn with our performance
